Lighthouse Guild Announces New eLearning Program To Help Nurses

Care for Their Patients Who Have Vision Loss

New York – Lighthouse Guild is offering a self-paced, interactive elearning program for nurses and care managers titled, “Vision Loss: A Patient-Centered Approach to Care.” The program speaks to the role of nurses as the care coordinators for their patients and provides knowledge and tools to help them identify signs of vision loss and guide their patients through appropriate care. 
The course, which includes practice scenarios, is divided into three modules:
Vision Loss in Adults – Terminology and common causes of vision loss.
Identifying and Addressing Vision Problems – Comorbidities, the impact of vision loss, and how to talk with patients about vision loss.  
Vision Rehabilitation – The purpose, effectiveness and options for vision rehabilitation.

This continuing nursing education activity was approved for 1 contact hour by the Northeast Multistate Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
 
This program has been pre-approved by The Commission for Case Manager Certification to provide continuing education credit to CCM® board certified case managers. The course is approved for 1 CE contact hour. Activity code: S00035783 Approval Number: 190000311.
